Dahil dito, marami ang nagtatanong kung ano ang tunay na layunin ng naturang pulong—simpleng pagpapalakas lamang ba ito ng ugnayang militar, o bahagi na ng mas malaking paghahanda sakaling lumala ang sitwasyon sa Indo-Pacific? Habang patuloy ang kooperasyon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines at ng militar ng U.S. sa mga joint exercises tulad ng Exercise Balikatan, hindi maiwasang itanong ng ilan: **handa na ba ang Pilipinas sa anumang posibleng mangyari sa rehiyon?

Antipolo Magazine 2020 Ang Functional Literacy Rate ay Tinatayang nasa 91.6 Porsyento sa 2019  Numero ng Sanggunian:  2020-406  Petsa ng Paglabas:  Biyernes, Disyembre 11, 2020   Halos 91.6 porsyento ng mga Pilipinong 10 hanggang 64 taong gulang ang may kakayahang magamit sa pagsulat ng taon noong 2019, ayon sa resulta ng 2019 Functional Literacy, Education and Mass Media Survey (FLEMMS).  Isinalin ito sa humigit-kumulang 73.0 milyon mula sa 79.7 milyon sa parehong pangkat ng edad na itinuturing na marunong bumasa at sumulat sa isang antas ng pagganap. Sa pangkalahatan, ang mga rate ng pag-andar sa pagbasa at pagsulat sa gitna ng populasyon na 10 hanggang 64 taong gulang sa lahat ng mga kasarian at mga pangkat ng edad ay mas mataas sa 2019 kaysa noong 2013.
