  WEST PHILIPPINE SEA,  Sa pinakabagong misyon ng pagpapalitan at pag-a-suplay, nagdala ang mga sasakyang pandagat ng Pilipinas ng mahahalagang materyales para sa pag-aayos at pagmamantini ng BRP Sierra Madre sa Ayungin Shoal. Ipinahayag ang impormasyong ito ni Colonel Medel Aguilar, tagapagsalita ng Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas (AFP), sa isang press conference na ginanap sa Lungsod ng Quezon noong Lunes kasama ang Kagawaran ng Ugnayang Panlabas. Kaniya ring ipinaabot sa mga reporter na wala nang kailangang detalye, ngunit sa halip, ang pangunahing layunin ay tiyakin ang lahat na ang mga pagsusumikap na ito ay para lamang sa pagmamantini ng sasakyang pandagat. Tinukoy ni Aguilar na ang mga materyales ay pangunahing para sa pagmamantini at pag-aayos ng pasilidad at sasakyang pandagat. Noong Linggo, nagkasalpukan ang mga barkong Tsino sa isang sasakyang pang-suplay na kontratado ng AFP at isang barko ng Philippine Coast Guard, na nagdulot ng pinsala sa dalawang sasakyang patungo sa BRP

DSWD Assures hotline numbers are operational, active to accept all concerned
with regards on SAP PROGRAM.




DSWD Assures Hotline are optional, active
The Department of Social Welfare Develipment(DSWD) Assured the public that all its hotline numbers for Social Amelioration Program(SAP) are Operational and active to recieve and respond to queries, complaints, and grievances on the program.



The assurance came after the incident during the congressional hearing on August 26, where the no. 0918-912-2813 on the hotline number of the Department was dialed ang turned out to be unattended.DSWD explained that the number is active but it is limited to Text Only messages. It is part of the department wireless service (WeServ) which is an application to manage its short Messaging Service (SMS) Gateway. We ser facilitates the reception of Dswd related concerned by a txt keywords and cascades the same to helpdesk moderators for a faster response and coordination.



The active hotline numbers that the public can contact, (24/7) are for text Only - 0918-912-2813: for calls Only - 0947-482-2864, 0916-247-1194, 0932-933-3251. Its also has a landline number, 8931-81-01 to 07 local 555.



Aside from the mobile and landline numbers, the public may also try the email address, sapgrievances@dswd.gov.ph, and the newly launched DSWD Portal, usaptayo.dswd.gov.ph Active response to grievances, inquiries Meanwhile, the Department through its Agency Operation Center(AOC) has been active in responding to grievances and inquiries received through its various platforms.



From july 27 to August 16 alone, a total of 12,770 grievances via call 94,643 via email and 110,313 via WiServe were addressed.Additionally, the DSWD Social media accounts,continue to respond to message and comments for this month, some 2,956 public comments and 3,213 private messages coursed through its facebook page. DSWD Responsed to likewise, 359 comments and 29 direct messages.



Meanwhile, due to the high volume of incoming inquiries and grievances that led to long queue lines, which in return, withheld callers to contact the designated hotline numbers, the DSWD came up with the uSAP Tayo website. The website, which provides the online platform to address SAP concerns on a timely manner has received and processed 566 grievances and inquiries, since its launched on August 13.



The Department is also studying the hiring of tha services of a call center company for one month to assist in answering grievances received through its various platforms.



DSWD Vowed to continue to open its communication line to the public, especially to the beneficiaries of its programs and services, as part of bringing the goverment closer to the people.

DSWD Extends SLP Cash aid to Sari-sari stores and Micro rice retailers.

DSWD SECRETARY: Rex Gatchalian   The Department of Social Welfare and Development ( DSWD ) is actively disbursing cash aid to sari-sari store owners and micro rice retailers as part of their commitment to support businesses affected by the rice price ceiling implemented nationwide. This initiative is in direct response to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive to DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, urging assistance for small business owners grappling with losses due to the implementation of Executive Order No. 39 in 2023. The distribution of cash assistance is concurrently taking place in the Cagayan Valley Region, Cordillera Administrative Region ( CAR ), and MIMAROPA Region. Over 800 small-scale business owners involved in rice trading and selling are benefiting from the Sustainable Livelihood Program ( SLP )-cash aid.
