Mayor Jun Ynares of Antipolo City has stated that the Hinulugang Taktak Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is nearing completion, marking the culmination of a three-year partnership with Manila Water to rejuvenate the national park.

The STP is expected to be fully operational by the close of 2024. Hinulugang Taktak, a renowned tourist spot in Antipolo City, earned its national park status in 1990 and was further recognized as a protected landscape in 2000. The park's standout feature is its 21-meter waterfall, known as the closest natural waterfall accessible to residents in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Ynares noted that in earlier times, Hinulugang Taktak's waters were once clean enough for swimming. However, with the city's population growth, water pollution became a concern. To combat this, the Antipolo City government, under former Mayor Andrea Ynares, forged a 2020 agreement with Manila Water to build the STP, aiming to cleanse the city's waterways and the park.

As stated by Manila Water, the STP has the capacity to process approximately 16 million liters of wastewater daily, traveling through a six-kilometer interconnected sewer network. This system will play a crucial role in ensuring the purification of community wastewater before it reaches Hinulugang Taktak Falls. The entire project carries a price tag of roughly P2.5 billion. Once it reaches full completion, the Hinulugang Taktak STP will stand as the fifth and largest wastewater treatment facility established by Manila Water in Rizal province.

Mayor Ynares mentioned, "An estimated 148,000 of our population will reap the benefits of this significant project, in addition to the falls itself." The communities set to benefit include Barangay Dela Paz, San Isidro, San Roque, and San Jose.

In addition to the sewage treatment plant, Mayor Ynares shared that the city government is enhancing the area around Hinulugang Taktak, offering more recreational opportunities for park visitors, including a canopy walk, spider web path, wall climbing obstacle, and a swimming pool.

Ynares acknowledged that many viewed the task of cleaning and restoring the waters and falls as an insurmountable challenge. He encouraged citizens to collaborate with the city government and Manila Water in their ongoing endeavors to rejuvenate Hinulugang Taktak and the entirety of Antipolo City.

( PALM READER ) LUCK FOR THOSE WHO HAVE "M" IN THERE PALM

( PALM READER ) LUCKY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE "M" IN THEIR PALM   Palm reading is an ancient art originated in India from Hindu astrology several thousand years ago. This form of fortune-telling was first mentioned in the Chinese book the I Ching. With that being said, will you look at your palm and see if you have these lines that shapes like letter M. If you have, you are so special than others. This is why! Palm readers usually base their predictions and information on the shapes they find in the person's palm. Most of them pay attention to the three main lines th
