Delegates participating in the Philippine Experience Program (PEP) caravan embarked on a regional tour with a commencement marked by a solemn flag-raising ceremony and a reenactment of the historic declaration of Philippine Independence at the revered Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite.

The Philippine Experience Program (PEP) stands as one of the flagship initiatives under the purview of the Department of Tourism (DOT), led by Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco. Its overarching objective is to showcase the rich cultural heritage and gastronomic diversity inherent to various regions across the Philippines. The Calabarzon leg of the program constitutes its second iteration for the year, following the resounding success of the Davao leg held last June, which was graced by esteemed members of the diplomatic corps.

Distinguished attendees at this event included representatives from the media, diplomatic corps, tourism stakeholders, and various government offices. They were afforded the privilege of not only witnessing the reenactment ceremony but also of stepping into the ancestral residence of Emilio Aguinaldo, the inaugural President of the Philippines. This immersive experience allowed them to connect with a pivotal chapter in the nation's history.

Among the notable guests were Ambassador Agus Widjojo of Indonesia and his esteemed spouse, Ranny Agus Widjojo, as well as Minister and Consul-General Hanada Takahiro from the Embassy of Japan. Also in attendance were Cultural Counselor Ma. Huang Yaping and Cultural Attache Liang Hao from the Embassy of China, Private Secretary (PS) Saurav Kumar to the Indian Ambassador, and Political Attache Shikha Kumari representing India. The event served as a collaborative platform for the exchange of cultural insights and diplomatic ties, fostering stronger relationships between the Philippines and the represented nations. Furthermore, the support and engagement of key figures within the tourism industry, such as the Philippine Travel Agencies Association President Patria Chiong and Tourism Congress of the Philippines President Bob Zozobrado, underscored the commitment of the private sector in promoting the nation's cultural heritage and tourism potential.

This gathering exemplified the collaborative spirit and collective effort of various stakeholders in the realization of the PEP's mission to celebrate and showcase the Philippines' rich cultural tapestry and diverse gastronomic offerings to the world. ( PALM READER ) LUCKY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE "M" IN THEIR PALM   Palm reading is an ancient art originated in India from Hindu astrology several thousand years ago. This form of fortune-telling was first mentioned in the Chinese book the I Ching. With that being said, will you look at your palm and see if you have these lines that shapes like letter M. If you have, you are so special than others. This is why!
